Council updates  |  17 May 2019

Christchurch City Council is meeting on Thursday, 23 May. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

  • A report which recommends the Council provide a $100,000 loan through its Community Loan Scheme to the Christchurch Squash Club so it can expand its changing facilities. The loan would be for a 10-year period at an interest rate of 4.5 per cent a year.
  • A report which recommends the Council provide a $60,000 loan through its Community Loan Scheme to Riccarton League Clubs Incorporated so it can expand its changing facilities. The loan would be for a 10-year period at an interest rate of 4.5 per cent a year.
  • The latest quarterly reports from the water management zone committees.
  • A report seeking Council approval for public consultation on the draft Integrated Water Strategy.
  • A report asking the Council to delegate to the Deputy Mayor the power to sign the Memorandum of Understanding in relation to the implementation of the Whakaraupō/Lyttelton Harbour Management Plan.
  • A report seeking Council’s approval of a draft submission that Council staff have prepared on phase two of the reform of the Overseas Investment Act 2005.
