Council updates  |  21 Jun 2019

Christchurch City Council is meeting on Thursday, 27 June. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

  • A report from the Social, Community Development and Housing Committee which recommends the Council agree to the relocation and long-term installation of the sculpture Lift on Barkers Plantation on the corner of Kilmore St and Madras St.
  • A report from the Chairperson of the Central City Development Forum updating the Council on the progress in the delivery of projects/activities included in the Central City Action Plan.
  • A report from a Hearings Panel recommending the Council lower the speed limit on Summit Road and the five adjourning side roads of Evans Pass Road, Sumner Road, Mount Pleasant Road, Broadleaf Lane and Worsleys Road to 60kmh.
  • A report outlining the proposed timeframe for the Council’s global settlement with the Crown.
  • A report updating Council on the actions taken in response to the recommendations included in Bruce Robertson’s 2018 Review into Management of Bore Water Security.
