Christchurch City Council is holding its first meeting for the year on Thursday 28 January. The main items on the agenda for the public section of the meeting are:

  • A report from the Banks Peninsula Community Board that recommends the Council approves the closure of the Magazine Bay Marina once the existing licences expire, or are terminated, in accordance with their licence terms and conditions.

  • A Hearings Panel report that recommends the Council adopts the Community Housing Strategy with the revisions agreed to by the panel at its hearing in December.

  • A report that recommends the Council approve the scheme plan for the Innovating Streets for People Ferry Road cycle connection project.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Council meeting, which will be held in the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Civic Offices in Hereford Street. Alternatively people can watch the meeting on the live-stream.
