Muddy Good Run

Slip and slide along to the Muddy Good Run at the Christchurch A & P Grounds on Sunday.

Navigate mud pits, slippery slides, mud and water slides and camo nets over 10 or five kilometres. Families can also tackle an easier course. Enter online.

Easter Mākete

Hop into The Arts Centre’s early Easter Mākete on Sunday from 10am.

You can wander among the market stalls of designers and artists and enjoy tasty food, live music and entertainment.

The market will also host a special Easter scavenger hunt for tamariki.

West Melton Country Fete & Avebury Gala

Head out to West Melton for a Country Fete on Sunday. 

There will be plenty of food and baking, along with stalls, games and challenges for all ages and local entertainment. The fun gets under way at 10am.

In Richmond, it’s Gala day at Avebury House on Sunday, with plenty of food, games, music and crafts. 

Pier to Pier races

Gather at the New Brighton Clocktower for the Pier to Pier races on Sunday morning.

Designed for a range of ages and abilities, you can run or walk the courses, inculding a beach cross-country and obstacle event for the younger runners and a 10-kilometre pre-Christchurch Marathon warm-up.

Plenty of food will be available, along with live music to entertain the crowd. Enter on the day.

Fly into Canterbury Museum this weekend to see highlights  including stunning images of tūī  from the Amazing Animals! youth photography competition now on show in the foyer.

It's also your last chance to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.

Drive-in Movie  Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Book your free spot for the Drive-in Movie  Pokémon Detective Pikachu  in Rolleston on Friday night.

The movie starts at 7pm, with coffee and popcorn available. Bring a seat or blanket and relax in front of the huge screen. You can also park up and tune into the movie on your car radio. Bookings are essential.

CSO Presents: Tūmahana

Weaving together dance, aerial and visual arts, Toi Māori, Taonga Pūoro, and orchestral music, Tūmahana is based on the Ngāi Tahu story of creation. Book tickets online for Saturday night’s perfomance in the Christchurch Town Hall.
