Summer in the Styx

Join the Styx Laboratory Trust for the annual Summer in the Styx event. This free event is for the community to come and learn more about the amazing conservation mahi happening in Christchurch, and in particular the Pūharakekenui/ Styx River Catchment. These fun family-friendly festivities will be in the Te Waoku Kahikatea Reserve, 303 Radclife Road, from 10am – 2pm Sunday.

Fresh in the Park

Come along to Fresh in the Park this Sunday for a free family vent celebrating Belfast at Sheldon Park. Belfast Community Network (BCN) has teamed up with the YDC Fresh Events crew to put on a great day of fun activities, including a pool party, food, haircuts, stone carving, basketball, face painting and more. Fresh in the Park will be on from 11am – 3pm at Sheldon Park, 710 Main North Road.

Philippines Day 2024

Celebrate Philippines Day 2024 this Sunday from 12 – 5pm. Enjoy an extravaganza of songs and dances showcasing the talents of Filipinos, and a day of fun, games, laughter and of course food stalls for all the yummy Filipino dishes and desserts. Philippines Day will be on for all ages down at Ray Blank Park on Maidstone Road.

Diamond Harbour Wharf

Live At The Point 2024

Live At The Point 2024 will be holding an extra show this Sunday, with an afternoon of music in the grounds of the former Godley House, Diamond Harbour. There will be delicious food and drink available to purchase, including burgers, pizzas, local beer, cider, wine and gin. This free event is on from 1 – 5pm Sunday, with free on-street parking available on Waipapa Avenue, the Domain Car Park, by the Rugby Club and Library.

2024 Mt Hutt Summer Open Day

Experience summer at Mt Hutt with their 2024 Summer Open Day. The Summit 6 chairlift will be spinning for sightseers, walkers and cyclist. Disembarking at the top, 2086m above sea level, you’ll be greeted with unrivalled 360 degree views across the Southern Alps and Canterbury Plains. This community fundraising event is run in partnership with Lions Club of Methven, and all proceeds will be donated to the Methven Medical Centre and The Westpac Rescue Trust. This Open Day will be on from 10am – 4pm Saturday, with prices starting at $20.
