Canterbury Polyfest 2023

Canterbury Polyfest is a representation of Pasifika traditional dance, music and custom featuring secondary students from around the Canterbury and Southern regions.

Embrace yourself in exhibition stalls showcasing the taste and colours of the pacific, and enjoy the Main Feature of the event – the incredible student performance. Head to the Special Events Area – North Hagley Park from 8:20am to 5:30pm this Saturday with koha entry.

SailGP right here in the city

This weekend, SailGP is setting sail on Whakataupō, Lyttelton Harbour! If you missed out on a ticket, a family-friendly live site will be available for you to immerse yourself in the raceday atmosphere, and get behind the NZ team.

The Live Site, powered by Enable will be located at The Green between Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and Cathedral Square. Catch the live-streamed racing between 3 - 5pm across Saturday 18 – Sunday 19 March. 

Richmond Gala

Celebrate all this Richmond this weekend, with a showcase of all the amazing happenings in and around the suburb!

From 10am to 3pm, enjoy everything from a buzzing car-boot sale in the Community Garden’s meadow, to demonstrations and activities by the playground! Grab the family and make your way to Avebury House, 9 Evelyn Couzins Avenue, this Saturday. 

Phillipstown Community Market Day

This Saturday the Phillipstown Community Hub will be hosting a community market, with a variety of stalls and car boots, music, fun and food!

From 4pm to 7pm you can indulge in the food stalls, music, free henna tattooing, free stone carving workshop, and so much more!

Japan Fiesta

Celebrate the future development of new and old Japanese culture at Japan Fiesta this Sunday at the Riccarton Racecourse!

Enjoy a new style of Japanese cultural introduction event which celebrates Japanese pop and traditional culture, with a focus on anime and manga. Grab a ticket here from $10.
