Papanui’s Great Stash Swap

Declutter your craft stash at the Great Stash Swap this weekend. Bring along your unwanted fabric, haberdashery, buttons, wool, lace, trims, papers and art supplies.

Come along to Papanui Library on Saturday from 11am – 2pm to check it out.

Christchurch Foundations Workshop

Learn a wide range of theatre foundation skills and techniques at the Christchurch Foundations Workshop this Saturday and Sunday. Explore different ways of making theatre pieces using your own ideas and stories in the two-day workshop led by teaching artists Tane Te Pakeke-Patterson and Jake Tupu.

This free workshop is open for young people aged 14 to 25 years and is suitable for all levels of experience. The workshop will be on from 10am – 4pm at the Isaac Theatre Royal this weekend. Learn more and register here.

Hōhepa Art and Sculpture Exhibition

View and purchase art and sculptures from over 40 professional artists, plus several budding Hōhepa artists with intellectual disabilities. The Hōhepa Art and Sculpture Exhibition will be on from 10am – 4pm at Hōhepa Canterbury Hall, 23 Barrington Street, from 10am – 4pm Saturday.

Guest artists this year are Jacqui Gibbs Chamberlain and Ben Reid. This event is fundraising for the Hōhepa LEAP (Learning, Exploring and Activating Potential) day programme where people with intellectual disabilities thrive.

Bee Day Buzz

Come along to Riverlution for a morning filled with the magic of bees! Bring your little ones for an educational and fun experience with Bee Awesome.

For a koha donation, come along to Bee Day Buzz at 11am on Sunday, at Riverlution Eco Hub and Richmond Community Garden, 46A Vogel Street.

Revamp Vintage Market: Autumn Festival

Ōtautahi’s latest indoor vintage market, Revamp Vintage Market, is on this Sunday! Look through a large selection of stalls from vintage stores, dealers, traders and one-off sellers with a huge collection of interesting items.

Rummage around and find your treasure amongst the ever-changing stall offerings, including antiques, collectables, upcycled furniture, clothing, books, china and silver – all in an aircraft hanger with historic planes. The market will be on from 10am – 3pm Sunday at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand.
