Calling all book worms! Christchurch City Libraries’ annual two-day book sale has returned.
The Big Bargain Book Sale will be at Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre on Friday 15 March from 9am – 7pm and Saturday 16 March from 9am – 4pm.
Christchurch City Council Head of Libraries and Information Carolyn Robertson says this is a highly anticipated event for people to browse thousands of books for all ages and interests.
“We know how much the community loves this book sale and each year we see such a fantastic turn out,” says Ms Robertson.
“This is a chance to snatch up a range of books and other material that has outlived its purpose in the library’s collection.”
Sale prices start at 20c for magazines, rising to $1 for young adult and children’s books, and $3 for fiction, non-fiction and large print books, as well as DVDs, CDs and talking books.
Stock will be refreshed continuously over the two days.
