Don’t miss this ‘Once’ in a lifetime show

The Court Theatre brings this stand-out new Broadway show to Christchurch, opening this Saturday 19 June. The show ‘Once’ has won eight Tony Awards and is an original, enchanting show about the power of music – and how the right notes can reignite your heart.

The tickets are selling fast so you might want to head to their website to snatch up a couple for you and your mates. The season runs between 19 June and 24 July.

Queen will be rocking the walls of the Christchurch Town Hall tonight from 8pm until 10.30pm.

Showtime Australia proudly introduces Dominic Warren performing lead vocals, guitar and piano live on stage in Freddie’s original key, and with all the wit, charm and bravado of the legend himself.

South African Rusty Red takes on the famous guitar riffs of Brian May, Michael Dickens conjures Roger Taylor on drums and Andre van der Merwe is John Deacon on bass guitar.

Celebrate Matariki with the whānau

Join us at Tūranga for a fresh look at Māori oral traditions, practices and customs associated with Matariki (Māori new year celebrations). There will be bi-lingual storytelling, crafts, loads of cool tech stuff and everything you ever wanted to know about stars. This event is free and will be held on Saturday 19 June between 10am and 3pm.

Voices in the Community V

Treat your ears listening to some local harmonies in this exciting concert featuring Voices Co, The Vocal Collective, The Plainsmen, Samantha Dempsey, Josie Klausen, Cantrices from Christchurch Girls High School, TVN-X, Quantum Acoustics and the hosts, The Vocal Network.

All profits will go towards The Champion Centre, which provides early intervention programmes for families, and their children with disabilities and developmental challenges. Their vision statement is 'Realising every child’s potential’, and the quartet and performing groups are honoured to have the proceeds of this show go to such a worthy cause.
