Council updates  |  5 Jul 2019

Christchurch City Council is meeting on Thursday, 11 July. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

  • Reports from the Community Boards outlining the major issues and projects in their areas.
  • Reports from the Banks Peninsula Community Board recommending speed limit changes on a number of Banks Peninsula roads, including Governors Bay Road and Gebbies Pass Road.
  • A report from the Social, Community Development and Housing Committee recommending the Council agree to the permanent installation of two sections of the Berlin Wall.
  • A report from the Innovation and Sustainable Development Committee recommending the Council approve the consultation document which seeks public feedback on what emissions target should be set for Christchurch.
  • A report seeking the Council’s response to the Recommendations Report produced by the Hearings Panel for Our Space 2018-2048: Greater Christchurch Settlement Pattern Update Whakahāngai O Te Hōrapa Nohoanga.
  • A report seeking Council’s approval of a draft submission on the Climate Change Response (Zero Carbon) Amendment Bill.
  • A report seeking Council’s approval of a draft submission on the Kāinga Ora-Homes and Communities Bill.
  • A report from the Chief Executive summarising the organisation’s performance during April 2019.
  • A report from the Mayor on the external activities she has undertaken over the past month.
