Council updates  |  1 Dec 2022

Christchurch City Council is meeting at 9.30am on Wednesday 7 December. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting include:

  • A report from the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board Chair requesting staff to start the process of gathering information and resources to develop an evidence-based Local Alcohol Policy in anticipation of legislative change.
  • Reports that seek the Council’s approval for the draft Letter of Expectations for ChristchurchNZ Holdings Ltd and for Venues Ōtautahi. 
  • The Suburban Regeneration Biannual Report updating elected members on progress on suburban regeneration projects from April to September. 
  • A report approving the appointment of elected members to a number of joint committees, Council organisations, external bodies and trusts. 
  • A report seeking Council approval for the Ngā Puna Wai carpark extension and landscape mitigation work. 
  • A request for funding from the Metropolitan Discretionary Response Fund for Community Law Canterbury and the Pacific Peoples Trust. 
  • A report seeking Council approval for proposed projects to be included in the Three Waters Reform Better Off Funding Proposal.
