Released earlier this month by Regenerate Christchurch, the draft concept plan proposes:
The draft concept is based on the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan and on what people said during the Christchurch City Council-led Share an Idea campaign, as well as more recent research and community feedback calling for a greener and more lively space that can host events.
“This is just a draft – a conversation starter to help get people talking about what we can do to improve the area, and how we should go about doing it,’’ said Regenerate Christchurch Chief Executive Ivan Iafeta. “Before we go any further, we need to hear from you.’’
Public consultation on the draft concept plan is due to close on 21 August. To date 412 submissions have been received.
