Council updates  |  10 Oct 2019

Christchurch City Council's new Chief Executive Dawn Baxendale has started work.

Mrs Baxendale was welcomed to the Civic Offices this morning with a mihi whakatau.

She then met informally with the Mayor, Councillors and Executive Leadership Team.

Mrs Baxendale will spend her first few days in the job meeting with staff and helping with the induction of the newly elected Council.

Mrs Baxendale has more than 30 years local government experience in the United Kingdom. Her last role was as Chief Executive of the Birmingham City Council, which is the largest local authority in the UK.
