Design store opens at Christchurch Art Gallery

Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetu has re-opened its store featuring a range of art-inspired products.

Retail Manager Annabelle Milne puts the finishing touches on one of the design store's displays.

The design store has officially opened marking another exciting milestone in the Gallery’s post-earthquake journey.

“We’re delighted that we can again offer visitors to the Gallery the chance to take home a tangible reminder of their gallery experience,’’ said Christchurch Art Gallery Retail Manager Annabelle Milne.

“The merchandise for the shop includes a range of products inspired by our exhibitions and treasured art works, as well as an eclectic mix of other items that we think will appeal to our visitors and those looking for unique gift items.

“With Christmas less than two months away we’re excited to be adding to the retail mix in the city centre,’’ Ms Milne said.

The design store, which has been newly refitted in a minimalist style, is open every day from from 10am to 5pm as well as Wednesday evenings.
