A weekend of fun for the whole family - including the dog!

Pooch Pool Party

It’s paw-ty time for the canine community this weekend! To celebrate the end of the summer pool season, two Christchurch pools are unleashing the fun.

On Saturday you and your pup can head to Waltham Pool between 9am to 4:30pm. Or on Sunday you can head to Templeton Pool between 10am to Midday. The paw-ty session times are based on your pooch’s height. Dogs must be fully vaccinated and well-behaved with other friendly canines.

Raising Sakinah – Finding Peace Exhibition

Make your way to Tūranga Central Library between 9am and 8pm this weekend to view the Raiding Sahinah Finding Peace Exhibition. This free exhibition is an opportunity to honour those taken from us on 15 March 2019.

In the aftermath of the Mosques shootings, survivors and supporters joined Janneth Gil and collaborators to transform tragedy through creative community. Their art and photography invites viewers to take action towards positive social change.

Inflatable fun

Rush, jump, slip, slide, biff and bash your way through a range of big inflatable obstacle courses this weekend! Head to Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm - 3pm, or Graham Condon on Sunday from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.

Standard pool entry fees apply.

Come along to the Waimairi School Fair on Saturday for a fabulour day out, and help raise funds for the school’s outdoor resources.

For a gold coin entry you can enjoy food trucks, bouncy castles, raffles, market stalls, entertainment and more! The fair will take place at Waimairi School from 11am to 3pm.

The performance will feature singers from the NZ Chamber Choir, Voices NZ Nicola Holt, Helen Acheson, Jared Corbett and Rory Sweeney. Enjoy songs through the years for a donation on entry, with funds going towards Cyclone Relief.
