Christchurch residents now have until 12 May to have their say on proposed changes to the city’s planning rules that will allow more intensive development to meet future growth.
The Christchurch City Council has extended the deadline for submissions on proposed District Plan changes 13 and 14 from 3 May to 12 May.
“We recently became aware of some issues with the submission form for Plan Changes 13 and 14 which are currently being resolved," Head of Planning and Consents John Higgins says.
“They came about when updates were made to the form."
"To ensure potential submitters are not disadvantaged, we’re extending the closing date for making submissions on both plan changes to 11:59pm on Friday 12 May. This will provide an additional nine days for people to make a submission," Mr Higgins says.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and look forward to receiving further submissions on our proposed plan changes.”
