Ōtautahi’s winter music festival is coming back with nineteen local artists scheduled to play live across one weekend in July.

“This year, the Go Live Festival features two nights of concerts at the iconic Christchurch Town Hall and also an afternoon of music industry talks at the new Te Pae Convention Centre,” says Christchurch City Council Manager Events and Arts Lucy Blackmore.

Stellar*, Imperial April, The Hootź , 1 Drop Nation, Emma Dilemma, PRINS, Ebb, Paige Julia, Midi Committee, degrees.K, Goodwill, Elidi, Park & Hattaway, No Broadcast, Candice Milner.

“We have nineteen acts set to perform across Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July. There will be multiple stages, with artists performing at different times throughout the venue. Stellar*, Jon Toogood (Shihad) playing solo and 1 Drop Nation are just a few of the amazing artists on the bill.”

“On Saturday afternoon between the two evening shows, we’re also holding a free series of industry talks. These interactive seminars and Q&A sessions are aimed at aspiring musicians looking to get a head start on their own career in the music industry,” says Ms Blackmore.

Boh Runga (Stellar*), Kurt Shanks (Plus 1 touring) and Chris van de Geer (Big Pop Publishing) are on the list of industry professionals set to share their stories, hints and tips with budding artists wanting to start their own music careers.

Tickets for the Go Live Festival will be available from Friday 20 May for limited early bird rates of only $10 plus booking fees for Friday night and $15 plus booking fees for Saturday night. Book tickets at Ticketek.

The Saturday afternoon interactive sessions will be free to attend, but registrations are essential. There is a limit of two industry talks tickets per person. Register online here.
