Christchurch City Council’s Linwood Service Centre will soon become a one-stop shop for people wanting to post letters and pay bills from the end of March.
The Council has been working with NZ Post to ensure residents in the Linwood area continue to have easy access to postal and bill paying services.
An agreement has been reached, and the Linwood Service Centre will become a full agent for NZ Post. The Service Centre will be able to provide post and bill payment services from 28 March 2023.
“We hear and understand that the Linwood community value convenient access to PostPlus services. We’re pleased to have a plan in place that will continue to see these services offered locally," says Head of Citizen and Customer Services Sarah Numan.
"We will have a convenient one-stop shop where people can access Council customer services, send letters and parcels and pay bills. It’s a great outcome for our community."
“We started providing postal services at the Fendalton Service Centre in 2016 in response to the community’s needs. Since then we have included Postplus services at our Papanui, Riccarton and Shirley Service Centres, which have worked really well. I’m sure the addition of PostPlus services at Linwood Service Centre will be equally well received by the local community,” Ms Numan says.
The Linwood Service Centre is located in the Linwood Library in Eastgate Mall, 20 Buckleys Road, Linwood. The Service Centre is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
