Little River Service Hub and Library will relocate for almost three weeks from Tuesday 8 June so that improvements can be made to their usual space.

“The Service Hub and Library spaces usually occupy the front of the familiar community facility on State Highway 75, but they'll be moving temporarily to the rear of the building while we make some improvements,” says Sarah Numan, Head of Citizen and Customer Services.

“The work is part of the Council's 10 year refurbishment programme, and includes a layout change that will make the spaces more welcoming and user-friendly. We're also upgrading the security cameras and floor coverings and giving the inside a paint job, and we’re sure the Little River community will love the refresh.”

The space is scheduled to reopen on Monday 28 June 2021.

The temporary services will keep the usual hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm (closed from 12.30pm to 1.30pm). Library-only services will continue to be available on Saturdays from 10am to noon.

Items can be returned as normal to the temporary Little River Library space, but all Christchurch City Libraries items may be returned to any of our libraries around the city and Banks Peninsula.

Wi-fi will be available at Little River Service Hub and Library as normal.
