New homes found for Colin and Tyson

There's a happy ending for animal shelter dogs Colin and Tyson who featured on Newsline this week.

Colin, a German Shepherd Schnauzer cross, has been adopted by a couple. They already owned another dog who, by a twist of fate, has turned out to be Colin's brother. Newsline plans to follow-up on Colin's story once he has settled in to his new home.

Tyson, a four-year-old Staffordshire Cross, was taken home by a single person.

Christchurch City Council Animal Shelter staff member Rowyn Hocking said it was wonderful that, with help from Council publicity, there had been so much interest from people willing to adopt homeless dogs.
