The Night Noodle Markets are back this week with a big selection of Asian street food on offer.
The markets will be held for five consecutive nights from tomorrow until Sunday, including Saturday night when the Sparks event will be also be held.
The Night Noodle Markets are returning to North Hagley Park.
They're open from 4pm until 10pm weeknights, from 1pm until 10pm on Saturday, and from 1pm until 9pm on Sunday.
Dumplings, curry, noodle dishes from every region and grilled meat will be served up at stalls in North Hagley Park with live entertainment from lion dancers and taiko drummers while you eat.
Take your pick from Madam Kwong’s dim sum, the Asian fusion bites from Dragon’s Den Street Kitchen, Zaffron Thai Restaurant and Pot Sticker Dumpling. Rollickin' Gelato has a range of Asian-inspired desserts, and Hoy Pinoy will be there from Melbourne with their brand new Panda Bun stall.
Last year, when the first New Zealand Night Noodle Market was held in Christchurch, 91,000 people went along to soak up the atmosphere and sample the food.
Entry to the event is free and food is priced between $5 and $15 with eftpos available.
There will be no public parking, except for mobility card holders, in Hagley Park so think about taking public transport, biking or walking. For information on ways to get into the city centre visit Transport for Canterbury.
