Christchurch City Council’s Papanui Service Centre will start offering postal services from the beginning of February.

Postal services will be provided at Papanui Service Centre from Friday.

The Council has been working with NZ Post to ensure residents in the Papanui area continue to have easy access to postal services and an agreement has been reached that will see postal services provided at the service centre from 1 February. Bill paying services are anticipated to be included from the end of April.

“We understand that the Papanui community value convenient access to postal services and we are pleased to have a plan in place that will continue to see these services offered locally. It is a great outcome for our community,’’ says Papanui Councillor Mike Davidson.

Council Head of Citizen and Customer Services Sarah Numan says it makes sense to group together, wherever possible, community services.

“We started providing postal services at the Fendalton Service Centre in 2016 in response to the community’s needs and it has worked really well. I’m sure the addition of postal services at the Papanui Service Centre will be equally well received by the local community,’’ Ms Numan says.

The Papanui Service Centre is located on the corner of Langdons Road and Restell Street, opposite Northlands Shopping Centre. It is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
