A package of projects aimed at making cycling within the central city easier and more attractive will be considered by Councillors next week.

The package of projects has been put together by Christchurch City Council staff to improve the safety of cyclists in the central city and to provide them with better cycling facilities, such as parking.

Projects range from installing additional cycle stands to improving the connectivity between the central city and the major cycleways.

A report outlining the projects and the benefits they will bring will be considered by the Council’s Infrastructure, Transport and Environment Committee when it meets on Wednesday, 10 July.
