Corser Stream - Burwood
The red zone ranger team are leading a new planting project on west side of Corser Stream this winter. This falls within the area known as Ōruapaeroa.
This Saturday afternoon is the last event of the season, so come and get involved! The best way to access the planting site is off Brooker Ave via the gate opposite Donnell Park. The team will have the gate open. Follow the arrows to park in Amber Grove. Come along from 1 – 3pm Saturday. Contact: RRZRangers@ccc.govt.nz.
Go Live Festival
Ōtautahi Christchurch’s winter festival is back – Go Live Festival is on at Christchurch Town Hall this Saturday from 7 – 11pm. With 15 acts performing across four stages, this years’ Festival will be stacked with local talent from Ōtautahi and beyond.
Featuring four stages and a mix of music performed by some of the best-emerging indie, rock and pop bands. Final tickets are on sale now. Please note tickets are $35 + booking fee.
Crafting for Wellbeing
Come along to this month’s Crafting for Wellbeing session at Tūranga to learn how to make a small book suitable for storing pins and needles. The Canterbury Embroiderers’ Guild will be taking the class for the August session, taking place from 2 – 3.30pm Saturday.

Family concert
Listen to the Canterbury Philharmonia Orchestra this weekend as they perform a Family Concert on Sunday including favourites Peter and the Wolf and Pirates of the Caribbean. Come along from 2.30 – 4.30pm at The Piano.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up as a character from Peter and the Wolf or a pirate and enjoy the performance. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children (under 18).
Kid-Friendly One Night Werewolf
Spend your Sunday Afternoon at Meepleopolis for a special Kid-Friendly One Night Werewolf event. Designed and hosted by kids for kids, One Night Werewolf is a fast-paced, thrilling game that encourages teamwork, strategy and a bit of playful deceit.
The family friendly gameplay is a way for kids to socialise while building their cognitive and problem-solving skills in a fun and safe environment. Entry is $10 per person which include a drink and snack, and this event is for kids ages 8+.
