Time-lapse footage has captured another huge pre-cast concrete panel being craned into place for Christchurch’s new central library.

The massive 20-metre long panel, weighing about 120 tonnes, is the second of four that will be used to form the western core of the new library, which is being built on the site of the old Camelot Hotel in Cathedral Square.

Christchurch City Council has committed $85 million to the library, which is due to open by mid 2018.
