Karl Budge, head of the New Zealand event says they are delighted to have VŌ on board.

“We have been hugely impressed with their food philosophy of honouring and celebrating local ingredients of the Canterbury region, and their alignment with our ethos and food sustainability charter.”

Venues Ōtautahi Chief Executive Caroline Harvie-Teare says the excitement is palpable.

“We are delighted to be partnering with SailGP to deliver event and culinary services in March 2023. What an incredible occasion for Ōtautahi, Christchurch. We can’t wait to be part of the action.

“We intend to showcase a culinary experience to all guests that will celebrate local, sustainable, and ethically-sourced food and beverage and will bring together a collection of local culinary icons.”

For yachting enthusiasts who missed out on tickets a free fan zone in the grassy area in front of the Christchurch convention centre Te Pae  will have entertainment, as well as big screens offering live race coverage on both Saturday 18 March and Sunday 19 March.
