Looking for things to do with your family over the four-day weekend? Check out this list of free or low-cost Easter activities.

Inflatable Easter fun at Jellie Park

The big inflatable obstacle course will be at Jellie Park this Easter weekend! Rush, jump, slip, slide, biff and bash your way through the obstacle course between midday – 2.30pm each day from Friday to Monday. Plus, check out the hydroslides from midday to 6pm each day. The Christchurch Easter Show

Bring your family and friends down to the Canterbury Agricultural Park this weekend for some Easter fun. The Christchurch Easter Show will be on from 10am – 4pm, Friday to Monday. Check out a huge inflatable castle zone, new amusement rides, market stalls, live music, local food trucks and more. The show is free to attend and will also include free Easter activities such as an Easter egg hunt.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Head down to Riverside Market over the four day weekend to get involved with some eggcellent activities. Show off your colouring skills and go in the draw to win one of four prize packs. Hop on down to the Easter Grotto and take a snap of how excited you are for Easter. Search for special eggs throughout the market on the children’s egg hunt on Friday, and meet the easter bunny at either 10.30am or 2.30pm from Friday to Monday. Easter Bunny Hunt at the Christchurch Gondala

Search for easter bunnies around the Christchurch Gondala complex this weekend! Kids can collect an Easter Bunny Hunt form from the shop at the top at the summit station, answer the questions about the bunny pictures hidden around the complex and exchange their completed form for an Easter treat. The hunt will be on from 9.30am – 5pm on Friday and Saturday. Please note that while the hunt is free for children to participate, standard ticket fees apply for entry to the Gondala.

Easter Magic Magnets

Join Paint and Sip Studio to paint a mini flowerpot basket for your Easter eggs, along with some Easter-themed fridge magnets. Book your ticket for $15 and meet at the Great Hall, The Arts Centre, to start your creative Easter egg-stravaganza and adventure. The Super Sonic Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt

Come along to All Souls Church for the Super Sonic Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt! Enjoy Easter Sunday afternoon crafts before taking part in an old-fashioned Family Easter Egg Hunt from 4 – 5pm. There will be plenty of eggs for all ages. All Souls Church is located at 30 Church Lane, Merivale.
