Music legend Tiki Taane is headlining a massive pool of local talent at the upcoming Go Live Festival.

Back for its third year, Ōtautahi’s winter music festival will feature 14 acts playing across four stages at the Christchurch Town Hall on Saturday 29 July.

Christchurch-born Tiki Taane says he’s looking forward to some “home town love”.

The line up

Tiki Taane, Mousey, Con Carne, Beacon Bloom, Gibson XCVIII, Tom Lark, Big Sima & Boomtown, Pool House, ASHY, Pieces of Molly, Dolphin Friendly, Katie Thompson, and Mim Jensen.

His debut solo single Always on my mind spent a record-breaking 55 weeks in the New Zealand top 40.

Tiki has performed extensively both as a solo artist and also as frontman for celebrated Kiwi group Salmonella Dub. He has produced many multi-platinum, chart topping singles and albums, not only for himself but also Salmonella Dub, Six60 and Shapeshifter. He is also a celebrated live engineer, and is considered one of Aotearoa’s most diverse musical talents.

He will be joined by 13 other acts including rock outfit Pieces of Molly, pop princess ASHY, and ethereal dance trio Beacon Bloom.

“I think it’s great to do showcases and throw down in front of new audiences. It’s an awesome experience and they’ll learn a lot from it which can only help,” says Tiki.

Tiki Taane is no stranger to the Christchurch Town Hall, most recently playing the Ōtautahi 4 Aotearoa fundraiser for Cyclone Gabrielle in February.

“The Christchurch Town Hall is beautiful and it holds many amazing memories for me as a performer and a punter,” he says.
