Local body elections  |  17 Feb 2024

Jillian Frater has been elected the Lyttelton representative on the Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board.

Voting closed at noon today, and the progress results show:

  • Jillian Frater has 952 votes
  • Vicki Tahau-Paton has 326 votes

Christchurch City Council Electoral Officer Jo Daly hopes to declare the final results by 22 February 2024.

“Progress results to date so far indicate we have had 48.8 percent of electors participate in the by-election,” Ms Daly says.

“It’s great to see so many turn out to support Lyttelton – thank you to the two candidates who put their names forward, and to everyone who voted.”

Progress results are the ordinary votes counted up to 16 February 2024.

Final results will include votes received today and special votes.

The final result will be posted online at the Christchurch City Council website here.
